I qualified as a physiotherapist (4 year degree) in 2001 from Stellenbosch University. In 2000, I took a year sabbatical leave and travelled abroad.
I did my community service in Matatiele (KwaZulu Natal) which is 40kms from Lesotho.
I moved to Johannesburg with my husband in 2003. I worked in private practices and hospitals.
My business partners and I opened our first practice in Bryanston Shopping Center and not too long after bought another practice on the premises of the Douglasdale Dairy. It was then that I became so passionate about treating horses as well as their riders.
In 2006 I was invited to accompany the South African Endurance team to the World Equestrian Games in Germany, to treat both riders and horses, as the team’s physiotherapist. In 2008 I was once again invited by the South African Endurance Team to attend to the team’s physiotherapy needs, this time at the World Endurance Championship in Malaysia.
I have completed a number of postgraduate courses such as:

- Equine Physiotherapy Level 2 Recognition course including advanced techniques by Amanda Sutton
Currently I am the Chairman of the Animal Physiotherapy Group of South Africa. Here I am actively involved in the promotion and growth of the profession of animal physiotherapy. We strive to ensure that people are correctly educated on what a physiotherapist is, what our qualifications are and what we are able to do.
After 5 years at the Douglasdale Dairy and everyday being faced with the need for a more integrated approach to therapies, I have once again partnered up with Mr Ivo Visic. We are now running an integrated healing centre called The Space, where pain and discomfort is approached from every angle. Here we ensure our clients have the opportunity for an integral healing approach by working hand in hand with homeopaths, psychologists and other health professionals.
